Several weeks before I launch a new book, I will be sending out Advance Reader Copies (ARCs) to people who would be willing to read it and post an HONEST review on, or within 72 hours (3 days), of the launch date. If you would like to be on this list, please sign up below.

ARC stands for Advance Reader Copies (aka Advance Review Copies). If you join my ARC team, you can expect to receive a free copy of the book anywhere from two months to a week before publication in exchange for an honest review posted on Amazon, Bookbub, or Goodreads.

Reviews are vital, and it is very difficult to sell books (or anything else for that matter) without them. Reader reviews are critically important to spread the word about a book and help authors reach new readers.

Absolutely! But there are a couple of simple pre-requisites:

  1. You promise not to pirate or share the ARC (Advance Reader Copy) with any other person or party.
  2. You commit to leaving an honest review within 3 days of publication (I appreciate reviews at any time, but the sooner after publication, the better). If you choose not to leave a review, reach out so I understand the reasons.

Once you’re on the ARC Team, I’ll keep you on it until you ask me to take you off – there’s no need to apply for every book.

When I have an ARC ready to go, I’ll email you with a download link. This is managed via Bookfunnel (Bookfunnel allows you to download the book in PDF, ePub, MOBI, or whatever format suits your device.) Then, just read the book and leave a review once the book is released (I’ll let you know when that date arrives). While I would be happy for a review at any point, please strive to leave it within 72 hours (3 days).

Reviews need not be long or in-depth. Even just a sentence or two, along with a 1-5 star rating, will suffice. The important part is that it is honest. You have no obligation to review the book or rate a book highly if you did not enjoy it! Just please be kind :) I am human, and if you think the book warrants less than 3 stars, I’d appreciate hearing from you personally before you post that.

I have a number of books planned for the future. Once you are on my ARC team, as long as you are active, I will be happy to continue sending you free review copies. Of course, you are also free to opt-out at any time.

Finally, if you like the book, please tell your friends and family about it – and if you don’t, tell me! Your feedback is important to me.

Getting Your Advance Copy: I’ll email you a secure Bookfunnel download link as soon as your ARC (Advance Reader Copy) is ready. Bookfunnel makes it easy to download in any format that works for you – PDF, ePub, MOBI, or other device-specific formats. Their platform ensures a smooth reading experience across all devices.

Exclusive Access & Confidentiality:

  • Your ARC is for your personal use only
  • Please don’t share or distribute the file
  • If colleagues or friends are interested in joining the ARC team, please direct them to the official application form rather than sharing your copy

Review Timeline & Process:

  1. Read the book at your pace
  2. When launch day approaches, I’ll email you with:
    • The exact release date
    • Direct links to leave your review
    • Any specific timing requests
  3. While reviews are welcome anytime, the most impactful window is within the first 72 hours of launch

Pre-Launch Phase:

  • If you receive an ARC during the pre-order period, you can’t post on Amazon yet
  • Consider drafting your review and saving it for launch day
  • Alternative platforms like Goodreads and BookBub welcome early reviews
  • I’ll alert you the moment Amazon reviews are open

Quality Control & Feedback:

  • Spotted a typo or potential error? Please let me know!
  • Remember: You’re reading an advance copy that hasn’t completed final proofreading and editing
  • Some minor errors are expected at this stage, but your feedback helps ensure the final version is polished

Content Focus & Team Fit:

My books are nonfiction and specifically cover topics such as…

If these topics don’t align with your reading interests, you’re welcome to step back from the team – absolutely no hard feelings!

Review Expectations:

  • While reviews aren’t mandatory, they’re incredibly valuable
  • If you decide not to review, a quick message letting me know would be appreciated
  • Honest, thoughtful feedback is always welcome

Maximizing Your Review’s Impact:

  • Primary focus: Please post on retail platforms (especially Amazon) where readers make purchasing decisions
  • Secondary platforms: Goodreads reviews are wonderful but supplement rather than replace retail reviews

If you want to support me further and have your review appear as a verified review, you can purchase (or pre-order) a copy of the book. Before announcing the books to the public, they go live on Amazon for pre-order, and I intentionally set my pricing as low as possible (e.g., 99 cents) so that ARC members can purchase the final version if they wish. Pricing will be adjusted to normal retail pricing when it is released.
